Legends say that centuries ago, a gigantic spider invaded Tokyo. Resistance was futile, as no one could quell the destruction wrought by the monster and neutralize it. Fortunately, one man – the legendary Jingir – put an end to the devastation. Using his heavenly powers, he stopped the monster, sealed it, and the world has enjoyed peace and tranquility ever since. Mizuki Henmi is a teenage girl who has become acquainted with Shu Suzuri, a young foolish man who runs an old bookstore. On one of her routine visits to his shop, Mizuki finds a mysterious and valuable book that Shu is about to sell. Unfortunately, Mizuki handles the book carelessly, causing the seal that held the monster at bay to break and a strange creature to appear – a cute spider. Wasurenagumo tells the story of Mizuki, Shu, and the seemingly harmless spider. However, ominous winds begin to blow. As Shu becomes enamored with his spider friend, Mizuki remains vigilant of the spider's every move...
